The Westsail 28 is a 28.25ft cutter designed by Herb David and built in fiberglass by Westsail Corporation (USA) between 1975 and 1979.

The Westsail 28 is a very heavy sailboat which is under powered. It is reasonably stable / stiff and has an excellent righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a heavy bluewater cruising boat. The fuel capacity is originally small. There is a short water supply range.
