The Irwin avanti 42 is a 42.5ft masthead sloop designed by Ted Irwin and built in fiberglass by Irwin Yachts between 1975 and 1978.
The Irwin avanti 42 is a moderate weight sailboat which is slightly under powered. It is reasonably stable / stiff and has a good righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a bluewater cruising boat. The fuel capacity is good. There is an excellent water supply range.
