The Irwin 42 is a 42.0ft masthead sloop designed by Ted Irwin and built in fiberglass by Irwin Yachts since 1976.

The Irwin 42 is a moderate weight sailboat which is slightly under powered. It is very stable / stiff and has an excellent righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a bluewater cruising boat. The fuel capacity is good. There is an excellent water supply range.
