Hughes 48

The Hughes 48 is a 48.0ft masthead yawl designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built in fiberglass by Hughes Boat Works since 1970.

It accomodates 8 people in 2 cabins plus salon.

The Hughes 48 is a heavy sailboat which is a reasonably good performer. It is very stable / stiff and has an excellent righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a heavy bluewater cruising boat. The fuel capacity is good. There is a good water supply range.
