The Contest 42s is a 41.17ft masthead sloop designed by Dick Zaal and built in fiberglass by Contest Yachts - Conyplex between 1998 and 2002.

The Contest 42s is a heavy sailboat which is a reasonably good performer. It is stable / stiff and has an excellent righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a heavy bluewater cruising boat. The fuel capacity is average. There is a good water supply range.
