The Contest 40s is a 39.67ft masthead sloop designed by Dick Zaal and built in fiberglass by Contest Yachts - Conyplex between 1993 and 1997.

The Contest 40s is a heavy sailboat which is slightly under powered. It is stable / stiff and has an excellent righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a heavy bluewater cruising boat.
