The Cal 43 is a 42.65ft masthead sloop designed by C. William Lapworth and built in fiberglass by Jensen Marine/Cal Boats between 1971 and 1972.

14 units have been built.

The Cal 43 is a moderate weight sailboat which is a good performer. It is very stable / stiff and has an excellent righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a bluewater cruising boat. The fuel capacity is originally small. There is a short water supply range.
