Nautor 50
12 / 7320 - score 40%
The Nautor 50 is a 49.7ft masthead ketch designed by S&S and built in fiberglass by Nautor (Swan sailboats) between 1976 and 1978.
9 units have been built.
The Nautor 50 is a very heavy sailboat which is under powered. It is reasonably stable / stiff and has an excellent righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a heavy bluewater cruising boat. The fuel capacity is excellent. There is an excellent water supply range.
Despite its low score, this boat is ranked in the top quarter. It seems difficult to do much better. It is one of the best possible tradeoffs for this request.
