The Moody 47 is a 46.5ft masthead sloop designed by Bill Dixon and built in fiberglass by Moody Yachts (A. H. Moody & Sons) between 1982 and 1989.
The Moody 47 is a moderate weight sailboat which is a reasonably good performer. It is very stable / stiff and has a good righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a coastal cruiser.
