The Islander 48c is a 47.5ft cutter designed by Ted Brewer and built in fiberglass by Islander / Tradewind Yachts between 1982 and 1985.

The Islander 48c is a moderate weight sailboat which is a reasonably good performer. It is stable / stiff and has a good righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a bluewater cruising boat. The fuel capacity is good. There is an excellent water supply range.
