Columbia 87

The Columbia 87 is a 28.58ft masthead sloop designed by Alan Payne and built in fiberglass by Hughes Boat Works between 1976 and 1987.

380 units have been built.

The Columbia 87 is a heavy sailboat which is a reasonably good performer. It is very stable / stiff and has a good righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a coastal cruiser. The fuel capacity is originally very small. There is a very short water supply range.
